PRE-K Lottery Info: There is a process for registering your child into the Pre-K program. Please contact the Main Office at 631-348-5139 if you have any questions pertaining to obtaining a lottery number, if your child can be placed on the Waiting list, or any other questions pertaining to Pre - Kindergarten.
Kindergarten: New York law states that a child must turn 5 on or before December 1 to enroll in kindergarten, and districts are not required to enroll students who do not meet that age requirement.
For all On-Line Registrations: Please be advised that you can begin the form, even if you do not have all of the required documentation on hand, as you have the ability to still save and return to the form at any timeprior to submission. Make sure you have all the required documents before uploading and clicking submit.
Universal Pre-Kindergarten (UPK) is a New York State funded program specifically designed for 4-year-olds not eligible for kindergarten. Each year, the Central Islip School District invites eligible children who reside in the district to apply. Visit our web page in January for up-to-date information.
