The
Central Islip School District Office of Public Relations &
Communications is dedicated to promoting the mission of the Central
Islip School District, and is responsible for communicating information
of importance with the highest level of accuracy to residents of the
School District. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to,
promoting student and staff achievements, highlighting innovative
educational initiatives, photographing District events, communicating
the annual budget and updating the District website. The Office of
Public Relations & Communications is responsible for creating the
annual budget brochure and related budget documents, as well as the
District calendar, which are mailed to all residents. The Office of
Public Relations & Communications works with the Board of Education
President and Superintendent of Schools to schedule meetings with
elected officials so that strong relationships are forged to ensure the
District is adequately represented at every level of government. The
office also addresses media inquiries to ensure reporters are given
accurate information as they develop their stories. The Office of Public
Relations & Communications continually works to keep residents
apprised of the positive things happening in the District, by
maintaining regular contact with editors and reporters representing
various media outlets including print news, television, social media and
