The Central Islip Continuing Education Program offers 
ENL (English as a New Language) & TASC, formally known as GED classes

 

The Central Islip Union Free School District offers a General Educational Development preparation program to Adults (21 and over). This High School Equivalency program meets Monday - Thursday from 6:30 - 9:30 p.m. The purpose of the High School Equivalency preparation program is to provide an opportunity for "out of school" adults to develop the skills and understanding necessary to perform satisfactorily on the General Educational Development (TASC) Test. Registration by Mail: Mail in Registration is only available for our Continuing Education Courses. Register by mail to ensure class placement and avoid long lines. Please use a separate form for each person and for each course. You can presume that your class will be in session unless you are notified of a cancellation.

Cooking

Learn how to prepare the best, delicious and healthy Gourmet recipes for every occasion. All that you cooked you takes it home!

Cake Decorating

Basic cake decorating class. Learn how to use piping bags and tips to create one of-a-kind designs. Courses will cover different icings and uses, how to stack tier cakes and the use of fondant. Students will learn how to make roses, lattice work, and borders in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. Class requirement: Course 1 Kit. Discount coupon will be provided.

Curso Basico de Computacion

Este curso esta disenado para todas aquellas personas que tienen o no experiencia con la computadora. Los estudiantes aprenderan sobre los programas mas basicos. Incluso seran intoducidos al mundo del internet. Este es un excelente programa para principiantes. Los estudiantes aprenderan a navegar por internet, enviar correos electronicos, a usar el programa de Microsoft Word, guardar, imprimir y mucho mas. 

Swimming

We have opened swimming classes for children and adults now you can registered in any of the following categories (infant, youth and adults). Develops cardiovascular endurance and flexibility. Swimming improves posture and muscle strength because aerobic work is done without impact.

Become a plumber

This class provides students with the basic skills and information about Plumbing work, upcoming technology and the history of the field including hands on experience. Topic areas will include plumbing principles and operations, pipe repairs, replacements and adjustments, safety regulations, plumbing theory, types of piping.
