Alfano Elementary School's 6th Grade Moving Up Ceremony was celebrated, marking the students' successful completion of their elementary coursework as they prepare to enter Reed Middle School in September.

Alfano Principal Ms. Carmen Vazquez and Assistant Principal Ms. Jasmin Dengeles welcomed families of the students and special guests. Also attending were School Board Vice President Debra Cavanagh and School Board members Glenn Mitchell, Jim Musumeci and Maureen Esposito. Performing music selections from their repertoire were Alfano chorus students under the direction of Mr. Jack Seabury and band students under the direction of Ms. Kennedy Burgess.

Students received their certificates and special awards from Ms. Vazquez as teachers announced their names. Superintendent of Schools Dr. Sharon A. Dungee, the Board of Education and Central Administration congratulate the students and their families and wished the Alfano School Community a safe and happy summer vacation.
